UNFPA Project Launch Event: Japan Supplementary Budget 2025-2026

On 12 May, H.E. Ambassador MATSUURA attended the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Launch Event for the projects funded by the Japan Supplementary Budget 2025-2026 which was held at the United Nations Office in Nairobi. The Government of Japan will support two projects through this supplementary budget aiming at improving the living conditions of the communities of Turkana, Garissa, Narok and Nairobi counties. All of these projects are consistent with“human security,” Japan’s guiding principle for development.
UNFPA staff members and Japanese companies involved in the projects as well as representatives from the recipient counties participated in the launch event, sharing their commitment to the successful implementation of the projects.
