WAW!2017 Follow-up Workshop on Gender empowerment in the Agricultural sector

On 27th of February 2018, the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Kenya and JICA coordinated a workshop on Gender Inclusivity, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nairobi, where the importance of women empowerment in agriculture in Africa was highlighted. The event was graced by Mr. Yoshihiro Katayama, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Kenya; Professor Yumiko Tanaka from Josai International University, Representative of Japan to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women; Ms. Queen Katembu, Head of Gender and Sustainable Livelihoods FAO; and Ms. Joan Mugambi, Director, Extension and Technology Transfer JKUAT.
