Ambassador Presents his Credentials to H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta

H.E. Ambassador Ryoichi Horie presented his credentials to H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House Nairobi on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. At the ceremony, Ambassador Horie conveyed on behalf of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito his wishes for continued friendly relations between Japan and Kenya.
Ambassador Horie took the opportunity to welcome President Kenyatta to Japan for the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7) which will be held in Yokohama, Japan from the 28th to the 30th of August.
President Kenyatta warmly welcomed Ambassador Horie to Kenya and reaffirmed that he would continue to work with Japan to expand the friendship for the mutual benefit of the people of Kenya and Japan.
H.E. Ambassador Ryoichi Horie is committed to carrying out his duties as Ambassador of Japan to Kenya, with cooperation of all the relevant stakeholders, to further promote bilateral relations between Japan and Kenya.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Monica Juma, Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Strategy at the Office of the President Mrs. Ruth Kagia, the Director of the Asia Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Christopher Chika and Mr. Kinuthia Mbugua, the State House Comptroller. Also in attendance was Mr. Mitsuhiro Kobayashi First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan and the Second Secretary Ms. Ayaka Nojiri.
