Signing Ceremony for the Project for the “Project for Peace-building Promotion through Livelihood Improvement Support for Refugee and Host Communities in Dadaab”

On 3rd March 2020, H.E. Mr. HORIE Ryoichi, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Kenya, signed on behalf of the Government of Japan, a grant contract amounting to 885,408 US Dollars with the Japanese NGO, Peace Winds Japan.
The contract was signed to facilitate the implementation of the “Project for Peace-building Promotion through Livelihood Improvement Support for Refugee and Host Communities in Dadaab”. The project aims to improve living condition of refugees and host communities through constructing temporary shelters and also improving the livelihoods of the youth through training on production of ISSB (Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block) to be used in construction of classrooms and perimeter walls.
