Handing Over Ceremony of the Project for the Installation of a Water Purification Facility

On 25th October 2022, Mr. KITAGAWA Yasuhisa, the deputy head of the Japanese Embassy attended the handing over ceremony of “the Project for the Improvement of the Safe Water Access in Seka Kagwa Village in Homa Bay County” at St John Seka Mixed Secondary School in Rachuonyo-North Sub-county in Homa Bay County. Homa Bay County Deputy Governor, H.E. Mr. Oyugi Magwanga also attended the ceremony.
Japan provided the Integrated Development Facility (IDF) with about Ksh 11.69 million through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP). The GGP fund aided to install a water purification facility.
IDF has installed a water purification facility for residents in Seka Kagwa Village. The facility is a product of Japanese company Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Use of the facility converts water from Lake Victoria to safe water which people have confidence in.
