Ambassador Okaniwa attends the 15th Japanese Speech Contest

On 18th March, H.E. Ambassador OKANIWA Ken attended the 15th Japanese Speech Contest in Kenya. The speech contest was co-organised by the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association in Kenya and the Embassy of Japan with the support of the Japan Foundation, and sponsored by various Japanese companies in Kenya.
The speech contest is an annual event which provides an opportunity for learners of Japanese to showcase their mastery of the language and aims to deepen interest in studying Japanese. This year’s speech contest featured 17 contestants.
As Japan celebrates 60 years of partnership with Kenya, the Embassy of Japan will continue to promote Japanese language education in Kenya.
