Ambassador OKANIWA Ken attends the official launch of the Center for Malaria Elimination at Mount Kenya University

On 14th July 2023, H.E. Ambassador OKANIWA Ken attended the official launch of the Center for Malaria Elimination at Mount Kenya University, Thika. The lab facility has been renovated through “The Project for Interdisciplinary Research for an Integrated Community-directed Strategy for Sustainable Freedom from Malaria”, under Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) funded by Government of Japan. The researchers from Kenya (led by Mount Kenya University) and Japan (led by Osaka Metropolitan University) will utilize this lab to advance research on early detection and treatment and promotion of an integrated strategy for Malaria prevention.
