Presentation of Ambassador’s Commendation to Dr. Purity Kiura

On 5th January 2024, H.E. Ambassador OKANIWA Ken presented the Ambassador’s Commendation to Dr. Purity Kiura, Chief Research Scientist at the National Museums of Kenya on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Kenya.
The commendation was given in appreciation of Dr. Kiura’s contribution promotion of cooperation between researchers from Japan and Kenya. Thorough the support of Dr. Kiura, Japanese researchers gained access to the Strong Room, a valuable archaeological storage room at the Nairobi National Museum. She also helped organising Japan Day, which was organised by the Embassy of Japan.
