On Thursday,22 February 2024, H.E. Ambassador OKANIWA Ken paid a courtesy call on HON. ADEN BARE DUALE, CABINET SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. They welcomed the signing of the Statement of Intent on Defense Cooperation between Japan and Kenya on 8 February and exchanged opinions on the current situation and discussed future cooperation on 'Free and Open Indo-Pacific' (FOIP).
