Ambassador OKANIWA Ken attends the groundbreaking ceremony on Improvement of Power Distribution System in Kilifi County

On July 26, H.E. Mr. OKANIWA Ken, Ambassador of Japan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Japanese-funded project on the improvement of power distribution system (grant aid, approximately USD 12.3 million)) in Kilifi County with the attendance of H.E. President William Ruto.
This project is part of “the Last Mile Connectivity Project” promoted by the Government of Kenya. A total of 9,100 households in four counties (Nakuru, Nyandarua, Kilifi, and Kwale) will be newly supplied with electricity as a result of this project (new transformer installation and extension of the distribution network).
