Ambassador OKANIWA Ken attends the opening ceremony of 2024 Endoscopy technical training at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

On 3rd September 2024, H.E. Ambassador OKANIWA Ken attended the opening ceremony of the Endoscopy Field technical training at Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi. The three-day training is offered by Olympus Corporation, with support of the grant from the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM) Japan, together with Kyushu University Hospital. This year’s advanced training curriculum further builds up capacity of the trainees who took last year’s training. 13 doctors from 7 hospitals that received the Endoscopy Unit through Japan’s Economic Social Development Programme attend this training to encourage early diagnosis and treatment of the gastrointestinal diseases in Kenya.
