Signing of the Grant Contract to support the Rehabilitation of a Medical Ward for Kabula Health Centre in Bungoma County

On 7 March 2025, the signing ceremony of the grant contract for the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held between H.E. Mr. Hiroshi MATSUURA, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Kenya and Ms. Monicah Chemwetich, Registered Clinical Officer of Kabula Health Centre.
The Centre in Bungoma County will receive a grant of approximately Ksh 14 million (USD 115,880) from the Government of Japan. It will be used to rehabilitate the medical ward and provision of medical items.
Japan attaches great importance to health and supports safe and healthy life in Kenya. The implementation of the project is expected to contribute to the healthy lives of the community.
