Ambassador MATSUURA Hiroshi pays a courtesy call on Eng. Eric Muriithi MUGAA, Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation

On 5th May 2025, H.E. Ambassador MATSUURA Hiroshi paid a courtesy call on Eng. Eric Muriithi MUGAA, Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation. CS MUGAA expressed his gratitude to Japan’s longstanding cooperation on water, sanitation and irrigation. CS MUGAA confirmed steady implementation of the remaining construction work in the Mwea region in order to maximize the potential of the irrigation scheme. They had fruitful discussions on further cooperation including reduction of non-revenue water in urban water supply, building capacity of water sector personnel through KEWI, and new irrigation scheme in western areas such as Ahero region of Kisumu County.
