Signing Ceremony for the “Improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene of Homabay County (Phase-3)

On 14 August 2025, Ambassador Mr. MATSUURA Hiroshi signed a Grant Contract with a Japanese NGO, World Vision Japan for the ‘Improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene of Homabay County (Phase-3)’ amounting to USD 654,559.
This project will construct water treatment facilities and water supply systems installing “Yamaha Clean Water Supply System” (YCW) in Kiwa Island on Lake Victoria as phase-3. Sustainability of the benefit of the project will be ensured by capacity building of the water management committees and behavioral improvement of community residents.
