H.E. Ambassador MATSUURA Hiroshi attends the opening ceremony of on-site training for endoscopy field at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

On Tuesday 9 September 2025, H.E. Ambassador MATSUURA Hiroshi attended the opening ceremony of on-site training for endoscopy field at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). The training is conducted by Olympus Corporation and Kyushu University, targeting medical professionals, including 12 Kenyan doctors (13 in total) and nurses. This training is part of the “Projects for Global Growth of Medical Technologies” by Japan Institute for Health Security (JIHS), and this year marks its final phase. Through this project, Japan supports the development of medical professionals in Kenya who can provide diagnosis and treatment for gastroenterological diseases.
