Presentation Ceremony for the Minister for Foreign Affairs Commendation to Mr. Katsuji Nakamura, Japanese Language Lecturer at the United States International University (USIU), and the Moyo Children Centre (Director: Ms. Namiho Satoh).

On 17 December 2025, Ambassador Matsuura presented commendations at the Ambassador's Residence to Mr. Katsuji Nakamura, Japanese Language Lecturer at the United States International University (USIU), and Ms. Namiho Satoh, representing the Moyo Children Centre. 

Mr. Nakamura has made significant and long-standing contributions to the promotion and development of Japanese language education in Kenya, as well as to fostering exchanges between Japan and Kenya. Furthermore, since its establishment in 1999, the Moyo Children Centre has supported the independence of children in difficult circumstances and, through its activities, has greatly contributed to enhancing exchanges between Japan and Kenya and promoting international understanding. 

It is hoped that both awardees will continue their commendable work in the future.
