2026/7/3
On 3 July, a ceremony to hand over sports equipment to the Kenya National Paralympic Committee (KNPC) was held at the KNPC offices within the Nyayo National Stadium. Mr. Tomonobu Hori, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, attended on behalf of the Embassy of Japan in Kenya. Also in attendance from the KNPC were Vice-President, Mr. Bhaveet Chudasama and Secretary-General, Mr. Stanley Mutuma, as well as Kenyan Paralympic athletes.

Through this financial assistance, the Government of Japan has supported the Kenya National Paralympic Committee in procuring sports equipment worth US$17,505.66, thereby contributing to the promotion of sport for people with disabilities and the social inclusion of people with disabilities in Kenya. It is hoped that this donation of equipment will contribute to the development of friendly relations between Japan and Kenya in the field of sport.
