On 29th July 2026, H.E. Ambassador MATSUURA Hiroshi paid a courtesy call to H.E. Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo, Governor of Vihiga County. H.E. Governor introduced the policies and activities by Vihiga County Government in various sectors and expressed his gratitude to the long-standing support given by Japan. Both sides also exchanged views on future cooperation.
