Ambassador Takata visits Kibera Slum, prior to the first anniversary of Japan’s earthquake

Pupils praying and singing a song they sung last year for the victims
On 23rd February, Ambassador Takata visited MAGOSO (*) primary school in the Kibera slum. The purpose of the visit is to express appreciation to the pupils who held a prayer meeting and sung an encouraging song for the victims of the earthquake and ensuing tsunami immediately after the disaster which hit Japan on 11th March last year. Pupils presented a song they sung in the last year’s prayer meeting, they also introduced a song they recently made to pray for Japan’s reconstruction. At the end of the visit, Ambassador gave some gifts in the form of stationary to the representatives.
