H.E. First Lady Margaret Kenyatta Visit to Japan in August

H.E. First Lady Margaret Kenyatta visited Tokyo in August to participate in WAW! 2015 (World Assembly for Women). This symposium was initiated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as part of the effort to realize a society where women shine both in Japan and the world. With many other leading figures from all over the world, H.E. Margaret Kenyatta made a significant contribution to the discussion from her own experience here in Kenya and Africa.

During her visit to Japan, H.E. Margeret Kenyatta visited Aiiku Hospital, and had various meetings with high profiles including Akie Abe, Spouse of Japanese Prime Minister, JICA President Akihiko Tanaka, ASICS (major Japanese athletic equipment company) President & CEO Motoi Oyama.

On the final day of her tour, H.E. First Lady extended her training around the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and launched the 3rd edition of the First Lady’s Half Marathon 2016.
