Main activity H.E. Mr. Shigeo IWATANI, Japanese Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya and Ms. Eva MWAI, General Manager for East Africa, the Northstar Foundation, signed the Grant Contract amounted to 76,191 US Dollars for the project for the establishment of wellness centers on transportation corridors in Kenya through Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Program (GGP) scheme.

With grant aid, the Foundation will establish wellness centers at four track stops in major transportation corridors in Kenya namely: Burnt Forest, Email, Mai Mahiu, and Namanga. Once completed, the wellness centers will serve workers from transportation industries as well as area community through the prevention and care of infectious diseases and primary health care.
Items The Project entailed the following activities:
  1. Establishment of Wellness Centres in four major transportation stops in Kenya.
  2. Purchase of equipments for HIV/AIDS VCTs and Clinics.
