This scholarship is open to students from Kenya. It is offered to foreign teachers to study at Japanese universities for professional improvement.
Documents to be submitted are listed on the Application Guidelines. Prospective applicants should read the instructions contained therein carefully.
The application documents may be hand delivered, delivered by courier or posted but must be received at the Embassy of Japan in Kenya no later than 4:30pm on Friday, February 09, 2024.

Qualifications
- Applicants must be Kenyan citizens.
- Applicants must have been born on or after April 2, 1989.
- Applicants must be graduates of universities or teacher training schools.
- Applicants must have worked as teachers at primary/secondary educational institutions or teacher training schools for a total period of five years or more as of October 1, 2024.
Duration of Study
The term of scholarship is either 18 months or two years (including 6 months of Japanese language studies).Application Forms and Guidelines
