Satellite Developed by the University of Nairobi due to be launched into Space

On January 16, 2018, the University of Nairobi handed over to the JAXA Tsukuba Space Center a satellite which they had developed. The KiboCUBE CubeSat, 1KUNS-PF was developed under the KiboCUBE programme between the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and JAXA. The satellite is due to be launched sometime this spring.
