In Kenya, cancer is the third leading cause of mortality accounting for 7% of the annual deaths in the country. However, many citizens have never undergone a cancer screening where only 10% of women of childbearing age are examined for breast cancer and 14% examined for cervical cancer annually. Therefore, the Government of Kenya places the prevention and initial detection of cancer as one of the pillars of the national strategy, and aims to make it possible for at least 50% of the population to receive the cancer examination.

This cooperation aims to strengthen countermeasures against cancer such as breast cancer by providing medical equipment such as mammography.
