Amb. Horie’s attendance to COVID-19 Virtual Conference

On 31st in the morning, H.E. HORIE Ryoichi, Ambassador of Japan attended COVID-19 Virtual Conference hosted by the Council of Governors.
 
This conference was convened by the Council of Governors acting jointly with the Ministry of Health under the instruction of President KENYATTA to review the efficacy of Kenyan response to the recent pandemic and to prepare for future outbreaks if any. From Kenyan side, H.E. Uhuru KENYATTA, President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. William RUTO, Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Hon. Wycliffe OPARANYA, Chairperson of Council of Governors, Hon. Mutahi KAGWE, Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Health, and Hon. Eugene WAMALWA, Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Devolution and ASAL participated the conference, and so on.
 
Amb. Horie addressed a speech in the opening session of the conference and introduced Japanese assistance for Kenya in the latter’s fight against COVID-19. He stated that the assistance is part of Japan’s seamless contribution to Kenya, Japanese people are together with Kenyan people and appreciated Kenyan people’s courage and tireless efforts in the fight against this pandemic.
