The signing ceremony of the grant contract for the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)

On 19th November 2021, the signing ceremony of the Grant Contract for GGP was held at the Embassy of Japan. The Grant contract was signed by H.E Mr. HORIE Ryoichi, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Kenya and the representatives of Garma Primary School.
With an intention to realise the universal access to basic education, Garma Primary School in Samburu County, will receive a grant of approximately KES 11 million (USD 105,892) from the Government of Japan. It will be used for conductive and hygienic learning environment at the school by constructing five (5) classrooms, an administration block, a pit-latrines block and two (2) water tanks.
Upon completion of the project, more than 125 pupils and the community will benefit from the facilities. The Embassy hopes for successful completion of the project and a positive impact to the beneficiary communities.
