Kituma Secondary School in Mwatate Sub-County, Taita Taveta County will receive a grant of approximately Ksh 8.9 million (USD 84,812). The funds will be used to construct a 120 students’ dormitory which will benefit both the 166 current students and 50 new enrolments. The construction of the new dormitory will enable the school to meet the relevant standards of the Ministry of Education.

Japan attaches great importance to education and supports the human resources development in Kenya. The implementation of both projects is expected to improve the educational environment and increase access to secondary education.
