13 Kenyan civil servants sent to study at Japanese graduate schools on JDS Scholarship funded by the Japanese Government

On 6 August, H.E. Mr. OKANIWA Ken attended the Send-off Party of 13 Kenyan civil servants selected to study at Japanese graduate schools. This cohort is the 4th batch of the Project for Human Development Scholarship (JDS) funded by the Government of Japan.
The 12 fellows will enroll in Masters and 1 fellow in PhD programmes at Japanese universities.
JDS programme aims at strengthening capacity of young civil servants through their studies at top Japanese graduate schools, thereby contributing to the development of Kenya.
As for the number of Kenyan civil servants who have been selected as JDS Fellows in the past years, 20 are currently studying in Japan and 11 have completed their studies and returned.
