Signing Ceremony for the “Project for supporting continuation of school attendance of Primary Education in Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement and host community, Turkana County, Republic of Kenya (Phase-3)”

On January 31, 2025, H.E. Ambassador MATSUURA Hiroshi signed a Grant Contract with a Japanese NGO, Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan)  for the “Project for supporting continuation of school attendance of Primary Education in Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement and host community, Turkana County, Republic of Kenya (Phase-3)”.
 
This project aims to improve the environment for preventing children from dropping out of primary education and to ensure that more children continue their schooling by improving school facilities, strengthening the individual support capacity of schools and communities, and building a system to strengthen children's resilience. As a part of the third year of the project, educators from each of the target schools, government officials, and related organizations will be invited to review the three years of activities and formulate an action plan for the following year. The amount of this grant is US$521,788.
